Flying High with George Clooney at the “Up in the Air” Premiere (Fashion Wire Daily)

Los Angeles – The Oscar buzz was "Up in the Air" on Monday night, Nov. 30, as George Clooney led the high-flying audience at the premiere of his latest film. Already being carried on a cloud of hot buzz in Hollywood, "Up in the Air" is Jason Reitman's latest film, following his much-applauded "Juno," and he was one excited guy as the crowd jammed the Mann Village theater in Westwood.

"I love standing here in this theater," he said. "I've lined up here so many times in my life, to be here with my movie premiering is incredible. I feel like Sumner Redstone!"

Redstone was in the audience, for he owns Paramount Pictures, the studio releasing the film, but all eyes were on the movie stars in the house, not the billionaire businessman. Clooney caused the biggest buzz, of course. He escorted his mother, Nina, and his latest girlfriend, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis.

Clooney's co-stars Vera Farmiga wowed in a plunging-necked Dolce & Gabbana white chiffon gown, while Anna Kendrick, so hot right now because of her role in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," chose a white gown, too, hers with a one-shoulder drape.

Ironically, they matched each other and the décor of the after party held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "Up in the Air" is all about a lonely guy who spends all his time on the road, flying on American Airlines and staying in Hilton hotels and obsessed with getting more frequent flyer points than anyone else. Having the party at the Hilton was an obvious tie-in; decorating it like a super-elite Admiral's Club, done totally in white, was a clever one.

And everyone who has anything to do with Paramount Pictures agreed, for despite the fact that Clooney raced through the bash, barely stopping for a quick photo op, tons of famous faces turned out and stayed late. Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka schmoozed with Jason's "Up in the Air" costars Farmiga and Kendrick, as well as Melanie Lynskey, J.K. Simmons, Danny McBride, and Zach Galifianakis, while power directors Michael Bay of "Transformers" fame, Marc Forester, and Adam Shankman hovered around Ivan Reitman, who produced "Up in the Air" with his son, and Paramount CEO Brad Grey.

Also on hand for the celebration were Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Allison Janney, Rebecca De Mornay, Eric Roberts, Cheech Marin, and Christian Campbell.
