LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – TruTV has announced a second-season pickup of its reality series "Black Gold," which follows competing crews drilling on Texan oil rigs.
The second season will feature "Rooster" McConaughey, the brother of actor Matthew, among other personalities in the oil business.
"Black Gold" has proved a success, with the highest ratings ever recorded on truTV (formerly Court TV) when it premiered with 1.7 million viewers. The second season will premiere on Wednesday, August 19 at 10 p.m.
